Overview

Ayudoso LLC operates a reader-supported publication and develops mobile applications.

This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled across both environments.

We do not sell personal data.
We do not run advertising networks.
We collect only what is necessary for functionality.

Applications Covered by This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to two distinct systems:

1. Website and Membership Platform
The Ayudoso website, hosted using Ghost, which includes subscriptions, payments, and analytics.

2. Mobile Applications
Applications developed by Ayudoso LLC, including but not limited to Apoyoso.

These systems operate differently and collect different types of data as described below.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account or subscribe:

• Email address
• Name if provided
• Encrypted password
• Membership status

This allows login and access control.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe.

Stripe handles:

• Payment details
• Billing address
• Transaction processing

We receive only billing status information such as whether a payment succeeded.
We do not store full card numbers.

Site Usage

The website may collect limited analytics through built-in Ghost systems or self-hosted tools:

• Pages viewed
• Session activity
• Device and browser type
• IP address for security

This is used only to understand how the publication is used.

We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Tool Data

If you use optional member tools, we may store:

• Progress data
• Preferences
• Content created inside the tools

This data exists only to make the tools function. These tools run on Ayudoso's own servers, not yours. Some are still in development and not yet open to the public.

Mobile Applications

What We Collect

Nothing. Ayudoso LLC operates no server that receives data from its mobile applications, and does not collect, store, or have access to the information you create in them.

Depending on the application, that information may include:

• progress and practice data
• preferences and settings
• content you create or import within the app
• parent-managed identifiers such as PIN-based access, stored only as a salted hash, never in plain form

Where It Lives

Your data stays in storage you control, not ours:

• on your device, and
• in your own Apple iCloud, for applications that use iCloud sync such as Apoyoso, where a family's data syncs only across the devices they invite

In each case the data resides where you control it and is not transmitted to Ayudoso LLC. Where iCloud is used, that sync is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

On-Device Processing

Features that read or transform your content, such as text recognition, romanization, translation, and text-to-speech, run on your device using the operating system's built-in capabilities. That content is not sent to us or to any third party.

Optional AI Assistance

Some applications offer an optional feature that helps you prepare material using an outside AI tool. It works only when you choose it: you copy text and paste it into a third-party service such as ChatGPT or Claude, then paste the result back. At that point the text you submit is handled by that service under its own terms, not ours. This is always your decision, done manually, and the app works fully without it. The app itself sends nothing to these services.

What We Do Not Do

Mobile applications do not:

• use third-party advertising networks
• track users across apps or websites
• sell personal data
• collect unnecessary personal information

Analytics in Mobile Apps

Mobile applications do not use external analytics platforms.
Any internal state or progress tracking exists only for app functionality and is not used for profiling or tracking.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide account access
• Process payments (website only)
• Maintain systems
• Enable application functionality
• Respond to administrative requests
• Prevent abuse

We do not use personal data for third-party marketing.

Sharing

We share information only with essential providers:

• Stripe for payments (website only)
• Hosting providers for site operation
• Apple services such as iCloud when used by the application

We do not sell or rent user data.
We may disclose information if legally required.

Storage and Security

We use standard security practices:

• Password hashing
• Encrypted connections
• Controlled server access

No system can guarantee absolute security, but we minimize collected data to reduce risk.

Retention

We keep:

• Account data while your account exists
• Billing records as legally required
• Application data based on device or user-controlled storage

You may request deletion of account data at any time.

• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your account
• Export of your data

Mobile applications do not use cookies.
