The Asthma Toolkit

Everything the Early-Catch course hands you, in one place. These are the free downloads: the printables you keep on the fridge or your phone, and the one shortcut that does the logging for you. Nothing here costs money. One email unlocks the whole set, and this page is the home you come back to, so you never have to hunt for "which post had that card."

The whole system is three steps. Get those going first. Everything under them is a support card you pull in only when you need it.

The core loop (this is the system)

Catch a flare early by keeping a light log, reading it once a week, and walking into the visit with it. Each step is short on purpose, and for each one you pick the version you will actually keep up.

Step 1 · Capture — every day, in seconds. A reliever puff, a peak flow, a symptom, a trigger, or a night waking, dropped into a running note.

  • The Ten-Second Log — one tap does it, with the day's air quality stamped on automatically. Prefer paper? Use the monthly log sheet inside the Visit Kit below. Same information either way, so pick what you will keep up.

Step 2 · Review — once a week, in five minutes, so control slipping shows up in a quiet week instead of a loud one.

Step 3 · Prep the visit — turn the month into one page a clinician can read in thirty seconds.

Steps 2 and 3 happen in the same place, and you pick your lane:

  • The Visit Kit — the paper system, with the five-minute weekly review and the one-page pre-visit summary in one printable.

Supporting cards (grab one when you need it)

These answer "what do I do," not "how do I track." You will not need all of them, and you never need them all at once.

  • The Action Plan — recognize and act on one sheet: how to tell a child is working to breathe, then the green, yellow, and red zones. Keep this one on the fridge, not in an app.
  • Get Ahead of Flares — one playbook for the three situations that most often start a flare: a bad-air day, the first 48 hours of a cold, and before sport.
  • Nasal Rinse Recipe and Setup — the cheap upstream lever most families skip.
  • Room-by-Room Home Checklist — where the triggers hide, room by room, and which fixes are worth it.
  • Technique Cards — the three hands-on skills on one card: the inhaler-and-spacer routine that must be right, plus peak flow and home listening as optional add-ons.
  • The Handoff Pack — for everyone else who cares for your child: a one-page brief for a grandparent or sitter, and the start-of-year school packet for the nurse, teacher, and coach.

Want the reasoning behind the tools? Every card here comes out of a piece in the free Early-Catch course. When you are ready to go deeper than the free layer, the medication-risk deep dives and the applied programs are the next step. → Member Library
